Toilet bowl overflows in Avon, Indiana
This Avon homeowner suffered a toilet bowl overflow which affected the upstairs and main level of the home. Unfortunately, the homeowner was not aware of the loss until 72 hours later. Water ran down through the ceiling on the main level, affecting the living room ceiling and floor. SERVPRO of Indianapolis South technicians detached the toilet and placed it safely for reinstallation at a later date. Microbial growth was found on some of the baseboards and flooring that were removed in the bathroom. Both flooring and underlayment were removed from the affected bathroom, too. SERVPRO technicians cleaned the subfloor to remove the growth and sprayed with Sporicidin. The affected drywall was removed from the main floor ceiling to expose the damaged area. Equipment was set and monitored with daily moisture readings
